There are 107 new Pokemon in Diamond and Pearl. Featuring new type combinations and evolutions for old Pokemon. There are 493 Pokemon obtainable in these games.

There are new ways of finding and getting Pokemon. You can trade Pokemon from your other games through Pal Park(it is one way). A random Pokeon can be caught each day from swarming. Also by inserting certain GBA games you are able to find different Pokemon.

It also brings back the time of day function. The moves are seperated into special and physical moves not by type.

In this game you have 2 rivals and there is the evil team galactic that attempt to catch the legendary of your game.
